Back to an icy world again today.
I think this a Wigeon and I think that it was this that was making such an interesting noise!
Some people were going on adventures today.
The swans let me sit down quite near them across the river today.

I have seen this bird a few times and wondered what it was.  I think it is a Goosander.  It is funny to watch it zooms up the river often completely underneath the water.  Click on the photo to zoom in.

    It was worth sitting quietly and still in the cold to catch such a lovely motion shot of the swan.
