A blur of kingfisher taking off!

I wondered what on earth this large creature was.  Is it an otter?

The heron finally stayed for a short while with me there.

Good catch!

Managed to get a photo of an orange tip butterfly before it fluttered off!

No luck at all with the orange tip butterflies but a glorious, beautiful day out anyway.

The sand martins are back.

Nesting time.

Male kingfisher this time.

Orange tip butterflies and loads of cuckoo flowers about this year.  I will have to go back tomorrow to have a better look.
