Sunday 27 December 2009

A wee sparrow among the twigs.

Is it Austria(?) no just wee old Crieff!!!

This one let me get a wee bit closer today as it was just too snowy and cold for it to bother!!

 A mysterious object.

Ah ha, here it is explained.

Sunday 20 December 2009

Not too clear but I was so pleased to get this beautiful bullfinch.

My magic wood.

I like the way this looks like a mixture of colour and black and white.

I thought this looked like a wee mini tree.

It really was cold today.  A lovely, magical, wintery world.

Sunday 13 December 2009

Well it really was cold today!

A spiders web that actually looks like a spider!!

An upside down world.

Frost makes a flower.

And this one is just to add some colour.

Sunday 29 November 2009

I loved the birds flying in this scene.

I wonder who lives in here?

Not too clear but finally I managed to catch a photo of a beautiful goldfinch .

A bit dark as he was hiding in the shadows but if you click to zoom in, you will see the dipper.

I bet this leaf has a few stories to tell!

Sunday 22 November 2009

Who would have thought that these tiny wee yellow fungi type things would look so strange when zoomed in?

I loved the colours of this view up the Knock, Crieff.

An interesting view through the knot of roots in one tree.

An interesting, magic stone up the Knock.

Too dark to be clear when zoomed in but I still had to show you this fine fellow.

Sunday 15 November 2009

Quite dark colours this week, it would be interesting to see how the colours of my photos change each week over the year.

This hill was just beginning to be lit up with the sun to show it's lovely colours.

The view from my favourite oak tree.

An interesting looking thing?  Could have been textures from an old ship yard!

I liked the strange effects that the branches made on this photo.

Sunday 8 November 2009

A beautiful jewel.

Our Crieff Standing Stone.

A cold wee leaf!

A prickly but beautiful trap!

Sunday 1 November 2009

It was pouring today so I thought I would look at last years photos instead and it looks like it was the same then!!!

For some reason any time I manage to catch a photo of a squirrell the flash catches it's eyes.  I had to fill in this one.

Back to this years photos all I managed to get today were some rainy roses!  As it was very dull they don't zoom in very well.

But they still add some nice colour to the day.

And it is easy to imagine their lovely scent.

Sunday 25 October 2009

Chaffinches don't usually stay still long enough for me to get a photo.

An interesting silhouette.

Dottie!!

A strange twisty branch.

Sunday 18 October 2009

I never know whether they are crows, rooks or ravens?  Rooks I think?  But I love the silhouettes they make up at the tops of the trees.

Another leaf pattern for you.

A beautiful river scene with the yellow and the swans.

Here they are again further down the river, I like the big grand tree aswell.

Autumn has definately arrived.

Sunday 11 October 2009

I'm afraid some of them are a bit blurry this week when zoomed in but they look nice, so I will still put them on for you all to see.

Opposites atract!!!

I love the wild water but like a sunset a photo never quite captures it.

A grand fellow.

I liked the shadow pattern on this leaf.

Lady Mary's Walk (Crieff, Perthshrire, Scotland)

The blackthorn is looking beautiful just now.   A rainy day today.   Nesting time.
